Hunting Permits

Hunting is free this year, but we strongly recommend hunters become members to receive all of the benefits, which include access to our walk-in cooler and to our bow and gun ranges.

2026-2027 Permits.  PRR Hunting Permits will be "no charge" this season.  Permits will be issued on Sundays in August (8/9, 8/16, 8/23) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hunting Control Station, and  also during the season whenever the HCS is open (we will post the schedule soon). 

Due to this temporary fee change, there will be new check-in/-out procedures since we will not be able to hire as many HCS managers as in the past.  FWS is working on the new process and we will provide information when it is available.

Previously, the fee was $100, and we humbly ask that you consider making a donation of all or part of that to help us cover the costs of managing the hunting program.
